Fourteen slides develop the monenclature and structural forms of folded rock; strike and dip measurement, anticline, monocline, syncline, basin and dome, symmetrical and asymmetrical folds, overturn and recumbent folds, plunging anticlines. The three basic types of unconformities are diagrammed with the geological mechanisms that produce them. Clear examples showing folds and unconformities both small and large scale are provided.
